Tay Melo used to be an important part of AEWs womens division, but she hasnt appeared on AEW programming since 2023. Anna Jay has also been away for several months, and now their current status has been revealed.
While speaking on the post-AEW Dynamite show, Sean Ross Sapp was asked about the absence of Anna Jay and Tay Melo from AEW programming. He responded that he hasnt heard of any injuries affecting either of them.
Sapp explained that AEW often cycles talent in and out, aiming for a healthier balance on the roster. Taking a couple of months off isnt unusual, but he hasnt received any specific updates or information about their return.
Tay Melo hasnt wrestled on AEW programming since the January 11, 2023 episode of Rampage, where she and Anna Jay faced Ruby Soho and Willow Nightingale. As for Anna Jay, her last match was against Mercedes Mon for the TBS Championship on the December 18 episode of AEW Dynamite. She hasnt appeared since then.
Theres no official update on when Tay Melo or Anna Jay will return to AEW, but it appears that their absence is mainly due to roster management and not because of any serious issues. Fans can stay hopeful that both will be back when the timing is right, but that might take a while.
