Roman Reigns has been a top WWE star for over a decade and continues to perform at a high level. However, at 39 years old, there are natural limits to how much longer he can compete in the ring. With questions surrounding his future in pro wrestling, The OTC has now revealed the expected timeline for his in-ring retirement and when his contract will expire.
While speaking during an interview with Vanity Fairs Tom Kludt, Roman Reigns has revealed that his current WWE contract is set to expire after WrestleMania 42 in 2026, which takes place on April 11 and 12.
Reigns noted that once his contract expires, he will likely wrestle for another year or two before ending his in-ring career, saying, After I finish the contract that Im in, we probably got another year or two max. Then its time to take on a less physical form of entertainment.
While Reigns has been a dominant force in WWE since signing with FCW in 2010, his future may lean more toward Hollywood. He had a role in Fast & Furious: Hobbs & Shaw and is listed in upcoming films like Action Force and The Pickup.
Despite having a lighter WWE schedule in recent years, Reigns continues to be a major name in WWE. Hes set to main event WrestleMania 41 Night One in a triple threat match against Seth Rollins and CM Punk, marking his tenth WrestleMania main event.
Roman Reigns has dedicated himself fully to the wrestling industry, and even though his time in the ring may be winding down, his legacy in WWE is already cemented. Whether he decides to retire at WrestleMania 43, 44, or sometime before or after, theres no doubt that his era will be remembered as one of the most dominant and influential in professional wrestling history.
