Diva Dirt will countdown two matches daily to rank all 52 leading up to this years event. You can check out the full list so far at the bottom of this article.
Now onto 8 & 7!
NOTE:It is getting extremely hard to pick the rest of this list and rank them as there are really no bad matches left.
A bonus article with two additional matches from WrestleMania will go up later today.
8. WrestleMania 22
Mickie James def. Trish Stratus (c) WWE Womens Championship
Probably one of the most memorable womens matches during its time. This Mickie James gimmick is also (outside of Hardcore Country in TNA) is what she is most remembered for. The deranged, obsessive, psycho side of Mickie is what so many that have come after her have been inspired by. And the build up is exactly what you need for a match of this caliber.
The endingthe crotch grab..the gestureMickie winning. Priceless.
7. WrestleMania 40
Rhea Ripley (c) def. Becky Lynch Womens World Championship
Mad respect for both of these women for this match. I feel like it is going to go underrated. Rhea headed into this match with a nagging wrist injury and Becky was sick heading into this with a prior feverand they both laid out everything they had. The no quit in Becky during this match was so fun to watch. It definitely picked up about midway through the match and you can tell both women were running on pure adrenaline by the end. Finisher after finisher and each one just kept kicking out getting the crowd fully behind them and was a great first match of the WrestleMania weekend.
The final sequence was so well done. Becky had the DisArmHer locked in while Rhea lifted her up on her shoulders. They flipped to the outside over the ropes as Rhea gave her challenger the electric chair on the outside! Rhea followed up with a frog splash and Becky STILL kicked out! Finally, Becky went for a ManHandle Slam from the ropes but Rhea countered and delivered not one, but two Riptides to secure the championship. Great ending.
