Rusev is on his way back to WWE, and its just a matter of time before he crushes his way onto TV again.

According to WrestleVotes Radiio, the former United States Champion has officially re-signed with WWE. The report, shared by JoeyVotes and TC, confirmed that Rusev will return under his original WWE ring namenot as Miro, the name he used during his AEW run. Rusev is a better name, they both agreed, pointing out that the WWE Universe is far more familiar with it.

Not only is the return confirmed, but its reportedly being fast-tracked. That means Rusev could be back on WWE programming any day nowwhether its WrestleMania, the RAW after WrestleMania, or even a SmackDown appearance shortly after.

One question thats been floating around ever since news broke is whether WWE plans to bring back Rusev Day, the wildly popular movement that took over in 2017. The chant, entrance, and vibealongside Aiden Englishhad Rusev hotter than ever. But despite the momentum, WWE never pulled the trigger. At WrestleMania 34, Rusev was the one who took the pinfall in a multi-man U.S. Title match, despite being the most over guy in the building.

As for Aiden English (real name Matthew Rehwoldt), JoeyVotes noted that he was discussed internally for a possible backstage rolebut was passed over for now. He might still be on WWEs radar, but a reunion doesnt look likely at this point.

So dont expect a recycled nostalgia act. Instead, it looks like WWE could be eyeing a new direction entirely for the returning powerhouse.

Are you glad to see Rusev back under the WWE banneror were you hoping to see Miro stay far away from his old stomping grounds? Please share your thoughts and feedback in the comment section below.
