WWE is gearing up for its annual WrestleMania set revealand this years production has some major changes behind the scenes.
According to internal sources via PWInsider, WWE plans to film the official stage reveal video later today, with the final version expected to hit their YouTube channel shortly after. But unlike previous years, this stage wont have the fingerprints of longtime production guru Jason Robinson, who left WWE in September. Itll be the first WrestleMania set in decades without his creative direction, marking a significant shift in the companys visual identity.
Theres also been chatter within WWE about the possibility of integrating fan seating into the actual stage design. While those details remain tightly under wraps, the idea of blending the audience into the spectacle has been floated in meetings.
Meanwhile, CM Punk might be getting the rock star treatment once again. Legendary band Living Colour is scheduled to perform on Fremont Street this Friday, and sources close to the situation believe thats no coincidence. The working theory? Theyll be performing Cult of Personality live at WrestleMania 41, just as they did for Punk at WrestleMania 29 in his iconic match against The Undertaker.
So not only could fans be sitting on the stage this yearthey might also get to watch a live concert as CM Punk makes his return to WrestleMania in front of a Las Vegas crowd.
Are you hoping to see Living Colour perform CM Punk to the ring again? And what are your expectations for this years brand-new WrestleMania set? Drop your thoughts in the comments and let us know how youd design the perfect stage.
