WrestleMania week isnt just about the big show anymoreWWE is fully loading the calendar, and its no accident.
According to Fightful Select, WWE deliberately set out to expand its footprint across WrestleMania week, blending company-branded events with popular third-party attractions. This years lineup includes WWE talent featured at Bloodsport, a WWE ID tournament on the indie scene, standalone Hall of Fame festivities, after parties, and even The Roast of WrestleMania.
Sources inside WWE say this strategy is all part of a larger plan to maximize the value of the WrestleMania brand across Las Vegas and beyond. One insider revealed the company looked to capitalize more off of WrestleMania week, and specifically looked at creating or participating in some already proven concepts along the way.
No word yet on whether this expanded approach will carry over to other major weekends like SummerSlam or Royal Rumble, but were told that events like Bloodsport and WaleMania helped open the door for more pitches to get greenlit internally.
As one WWE source put it, This week is going to be instrumental in seeing what events they retain in future years or even future PLE weekends.
WWE clearly isnt just owning the ringtheyre looking to dominate the entire week. From mainstream shows to gritty indie venues, they want it all under the WrestleMania umbrella. What started as a weekend is turning into a takeover.
