The WWE Womens Champion Tiffany Stratton is continuing to use her rookie, albeit champion, status to her advantage. In the build to her WrestleMania match against Charlotte Flair, Stratton has been on the receiving end of some brutal moments. One being the split screen promo a number of weeks back between the two competitors.
While speaking in an interview with Gorilla Position, Stratton commented on the promo that happened in the split screen moment. Flair was said to have benefited the most from that exchange with some fans even saying she buried the champion.
Of course I hear all the noise. Twitter didnt let me not hear all the noise. Congratulations to Charlotte, a fifteen-year veteran who buried a rookie in an interview. I hope she got all the TV time she so desperately needs because clearly she needs it more than I do. Going into WrestleMania, Im focused on beating her. Asked if she thought Charlotte was testing her, Tiffany replied,I dont know about test. I do feel like there was a little bit of interrupting and kind of not letting me get anything I wanted to say out. I wouldnt say test. Moreso being a big, mean, veteran.
This interview was taped before the following offscript moment between the two took place in the ring a couple of weeks later.
Stratton will have her first WrestleMania match this weekend and walk in as a champion. She has held the gold since cashing in on Nia Jax in January.
