Hello everyone, welcome to the honor club! Last night in a special YouTube prelude episode, Taya Valkyrie faced off against La Catalina in a number one contenders match for a future ROH Television Title match.
Before the match started, we got the return of La Chef and the reigning ROH Womens World Television Champion, Red Velvet.
Speaking in Spanglish, she sent a message to her future possible contenders, labeling them as pendejas and assuring them that she does not care who wins since she always gets her lick back and she does not back down.
Valkyrie, who made her career in Mxico, is no stranger to La Catalinas Lucha Libre style, and with zero miedo shook La Divas hand, trying to intimidate her contender eye to eye.
La Wera Loca took control for most of the match, taking the fight to the outside. She threw La Diva to the barricade to later work on her leg with an ankle lock.
Motivated by the crowd La Catalina fought back only to be hit right back with a meteora to the corner followed by a blue thunder bomb for a near fall.
La Catalina channeled her inner diva, hitting the X Factor, yet it was not enough. With lipstick on her teeth, Taya hit a spear for a two count. She then took time to taunt the audience; such distraction allowed the Chilean Amazon to hit an electric chair and a diving plancha for the win.
The match has yet to have an official date, but with Grand Slam Mxico being freshly announced, we should expect more crossover matches soon.
