Manchester City are aiming to build on their five-star victory over Crystal Palace when they visit Everton.
The Cityzens were rampant for two-thirds of their battle with the Eagles last weekend, coming from two goals behind to secure a much-needed triumph in their hunt for Champions League qualification. Shoots of hope appeared across the Etihad turf as Pep Guardiola's side, who have underwhelmed for much of the season, offered a glimpse of their all-conquering best.
However, City's inconsistency has been their greatest weakness this term and they must follow up an emphatic win at Goodison Park. Injuries continue to offer Guardiola unwanted dilemmas but the Spaniard still boasts a fierce squad rife with options.
Here is how City could line up against Everton.
Man City predicted lineup vs Everton (4-2-3-1)
GK: Stefan Ortega - Ederson supplied his fourth assist of the season against Palace but celebrations were brief as he limped off at the Etihad. The Brazilian is expected to miss this weekend's encounter and will be replaced by an able deputy in Ortega.
RB: Rico Lewis - Lewis has become renowned for his versatility, whether it be bombing up the flank to provide attacking support or inverting to create overloads in midfield. However, he took a much more measured approach last weekend as City aim to shore up their injury-hit defence.
CB: Ruben Dias - The Portuguese has had the unenviable task of holding a weakened City rearguard in one piece over recent weeks, one that has occasionally proven too great even for one of the world's elite defenders.
CB: Josko Gvardiol - Injuries to John Stones, Nathan Ake and Manuel Akanji have forced a tactical reshuffle in defence, with Gvardiol vacating his usual left-back spot to fill in at centre-half. It's the role in which he blossomed at RB Leipzig.
LB: Nico O'Reilly - One silver lining amid City's defensive injury crisis has been the outstanding performances of O'Reilly. While a midfielder by trade, the youngster has dazzled at left-back in recent weeks, particularly with his attacking play.
DM: Mateo Kovacic - Kovacic rattled home from 20 yards to complete the comeback against Palace and Guardiola will want a similarly dominant and energetic performance from the Croatian at Goodison.
DM: Nico Gonzalez - Rodri's shoes have, quite understandably, proven too large to fill for the winter recruit. The 23-year-old lacks the assurance and intelligence of his compatriot but can still perform a similar function at the base of midfield.
RW: James McAtee - City's young guns impressed against Palace and McAtee racked up his third Premier League goal of the season as he rounded Dean Henderson and netted his side's fourth. It's unlike Guardiola to not rotate but McAtee may have forced his hand.
AM: Kevin De Bruyne - Talk about rolling back the years. De Bruyne conjured some trademark magic during victory at the Etihad last Saturday, scoring, assisting and securing the Player of the Match award.
LW: Savinho - Savinho has started the last two matches on the bench but the Brazilian's raw speed and athleticism could prove useful as City attempt to negotiate Everton's stubborn low block.
ST: Omar Marmoush - Marmoush has been in red-hot form over recent weeks and has replaced Erling Haaland's output in the penalty area. But all six of his Premier League goals have come at the Etihad and City could do with him discovering his goalscoring touch on the road this weekend.
