In January 2024, former WWE employee Janel Grant filed a lawsuit against Vince McMahon, WWE, and John Laurinaitis, accusing them of sexual assault and sex trafficking. While many have turned against McMahon since the lawsuit, John Cena has made it clear that he still loves Vince McMahon no matter what.
In a recent interview with The New York Times, John Cena said he still loves McMahon, but also made it clear that he isnt ignoring the seriousness of the allegations. Cena acknowledged that people may not agree with him, but said his personal feelings wont change because of others opinions.
This comes after Roman Reigns shared his thoughts on the allegations against Vince McMahon, calling the situation deeply embarrassing and something no one would want their family to go through.
Reigns described the allegations as a stain on WWEs image and showed support for Janel Grant. He recognized the challenges she has faced and said he hoped she now feels safe and protected.
WWEs reputation has certainly been affected by the ongoing lawsuit, but its evident that those close to McMahon care about him and John Cena is simply one of them, which is something fans have to accept now.
