WWE Hall of Famer Stone Cold Steve Austin has not competed inside the squared circle sincehis return to the ring at WrestleMania 38. Fans have been wondering whether he will compete in one last match in the future and now Austin has set the record straight on wrestling another match.
While speaking on The Pat McAfee Show, Steve Austin was asked whether he has any interest in wrestling another match and if the thought of wrestling comes to his mind anymore.
Steve Austin said hes not thinking about wrestling another match. Hes moved on, even though the competitive side of him is still strong and now focused on racing. He admitted that when he watches WWE, he sometimes thinks he could have given a little more in the match with Kevin Owens. But he feels its the younger generations time now. He said all the attention now belongs to the men and women currently out on the road doing the work.
Austin made it clear hes still capable of getting in the ring and handling business, but he has no plans to return. He believes the new talent need goals to chase, and hes already done what he needed to do. As far as hes concerned, theres no need for Stone Cold to step back in the ring.
Austins return in 2022 showed fans he still had plenty left to give, but more than that, it felt like a special treat for those who followed his legendary career. Right now, Austin seems content watching from the sidelines, proudly cheering on the next generation as they carry on the legacy of raising hell like he once did.
