During the Fatal Four-Way Elimination Match to determine the next challengers for the WWE Womens Tag Team Championships, fans witnessed an unexpected twist as Roxanne Perez walked out on her longtime partner Cora Jade, leaving her to get double-teamed and eliminated.
Everything started off chaotic in classic tag team fashion. All four teamsRoxanne & Cora, Meta-Four, Fatal Influence, and Gigi Dolin & Tatum Paxleyfought hard to stay alive in the high-stakes bout. After Meta-Four was eliminated, things started to unravel for the duo that many believed could win it all.
Perez and Jade had the momentum, landing a gutwrench suplex and a double stomp, but when Jacy Jayne countered with a neckbreaker, Roxanne made her moveliterally. With no warning, she backed away from the action, climbed up the ramp, and left Cora alone in the ring.
The crowd was stunned. Moments later, Tatum Paxley tagged in and helped Gigi Dolin double pin Cora Jade for the elimination.
Just like that, Roxanne Perez and Cora Jade were out of the matchonly this time, it wasnt due to teamwork failing. It was because Perez chose to abandon her partner in the middle of a live Premium Live Event.
Now the question is: why? Is this the end of Toxic Attraction 2.0 before it ever got going? Did Roxanne just turn heel? Or has Perez simply decided shes outgrown NXT
