WWEs latest move to expand its global influence is officialand Triple H is already celebrating the partnership with one of AAAs brightest stars.

During the Countdown to WrestleMania 41 show, Michael Cole announced that WWE has acquired the legendary Mexican lucha libre promotion AAA. The deal was made in collaboration with Mexico-based holding company Fillip. Triple H, AAA General Manager Dorian Pea, and representatives from Fillip were present at the live announcement.

Dorian Pea reflected on the moment, saying, This is the beginning of a new chapter in the story of lucha libre. My uncle, my father, and my mother theyve been running AAA for almost 33 years. To finally be working with WWE, we told our luchadores that we are proud. Very proud.

Shortly after the announcement aired, Triple H posted on Instagram alongside Hijo del Vikingo, who appeared in full gear doing his iconic finger-pointing pose. In the caption, Triple H shared his excitement for the partnership:

The announcement comes just ahead of NXT Worlds Collide, which will take place June 7 at the Kia Forum in Inglewood, Californiaand will now include AAA talent on the card.
