Bayley may be out of WrestleMania 41but WWE might be replacing her with a major name: Becky Lynch.
After being brutally attacked backstage during the WrestleMania Countdown show, Bayley was ruled medically unable to compete on Night Two. She and Lyra Valkyria had recently formed a new tag team and were set to challenge Liv Morgan and Raquel Rodriguez for the WWE Womens Tag Team Titles after earning a shot on the April 11 episode of SmackDown.
But with Bayley out, RAW General Manager Adam Pearce gave Valkyria one option: find a new partner or forfeit the title opportunity.
Now, Bryan Alvarez of Wrestling Observer Radio is reporting that WWE has lined up none other than Becky Lynch to step in. They did an angle before WrestleMania where Bayley was laid out. This is the return of Becky Lynch; she is going to be replacing Bayley against Lyra, Alvarez said.
However, theres a catchWWE might scrap the plan altogether if the surprise gets spoiled. I suppose if word gets out, they could change it, but that was the plan today, Alvarez added.
Lynch hasnt wrestled since the May 27, 2024 episode of RAW, and while her return has been teased in recent daysincluding being spotted at the WWE Hall of Famethis could be the moment WWE has been saving her for.
