WrestleMania 41 continued on April 20 at Allegiant Stadium in Las Vegas, featuring a WWE Womens Tag Team Championship match on the second night of action. Liv Morgan and Raquel Rodriguez defended their titles against Lyra Valkyria and a surprise partner.
Bayley was originally scheduled to team with Lyra, but an injury took her out of the match ahead of the event. This left fans wondering who would step in as Lyras new partner. The last-minute change added an unexpected twist to the championship bout as the match moved forward with a new tag team, but her partner was TBA going into Mania.
Much to Liv Morgans surprise, Becky Lynch made her way out to join Lyra. This was a big moment as The Man returned to WWE, and fans in Las Vegas were shocked to see it go down.
Becky Lynchs most recent WWE match took place on May 27, 2024, during an episode of Monday Night RAW at the Enmarket Arena in Savannah, Georgia. She faced Liv Morgan in a Steel Cage Match for the WWE Womens World Championship, where Morgan retained the title.
After a high energy match, Becky Lynch nailed a Man Handle Slam on Liv Morgan to win the titles. After the match, the two celebrated as champions, and now it looks like The Man is back, and Lyra is a double champion as she has a tag team title to go with her Womens IC belt.
We will have to keep a close eye on the womens tag team division in WWE. After all, the next title defense is already set for NXT next week as Tatum Paxley and Gigi Dolin will get a shot at the titles.
