WrestleMania 41 Sunday was headlined by Cody Rhodes defending the Undisputed WWE Championship against John Cena and Rhodes spared no expense when it came to his entrance. It included an epic mask and now, the creators behind the mask have been revealed.
Jason Baker went on Twitter to reveal that the new version of Cody Rhodes mask was created by him in collaboration with Visionary Effects. He thanked Dan, Devin, and Tom Chouinard III for their help in bringing the project to life.
The mask opened on its own during Cody Rhodes entrance, giving it a dramatic and futuristic touch that perfectly fit a WrestleMania main event. It matched his American Nightmare persona and helped make his entrance even more memorable.
Cody Rhodes entrance was certainly extravagant and lived up to the epic scale that WrestleMania is famous for now. However, Rhodes would end up losing the Undisputed WWE Championship to John Cena after interference from Travis Scott, something that fans really hated.
From self-opening masks to live music and cinematic-style storytelling, WWE keeps pushing the boundaries of entrance production each year at WrestleMania. Even though the outcome wasnt what Cody Rhodes fans wanted, his entrance stood out as one of the most visually impressive moments of the entire event and no one can take that away from him.
