Becky Lynch made her return to WWE after nearly a one-year absence at WrestleMania 41 on Sunday. She was the replacement for Bayley in the WWE Womens Tag Team Title Match where she partnered with Lyra Valkyria to go on an defeat Liv Morgan and Raquel Rodriguez.
After Lynch and Valkyrias win, they were interviewed on the post WrestleMania press conference. Alongside Lynchs daughter Roux, the newly crowned tag team champions answered some questions. After responding to her recent year long hiatus, Lynch boasted on how she felt returning and being able to win the tag team gold with someone like Valkyria.
In response to Stephanie Hypes of Bodyslam.net, Lynch said:
It was amazing. I wouldnt give it back for the world,she said.Getting to get her [Roux] into activities and into school and having a routine. Its been the best and the most important thing Im ever going to do. I love my family more than anything. The thing that I love next to that is wrestling. To be able to be here and come back, its really quite amazing. Especially to be by [Lyras] side because she is amazing. She is so incredible. I told her this before I left, I didnt know if I was coming back, Youre my biggest hope for the future. Weve already taken this womens division and wrestling to heights never thought before. She is so dedicated and so passionate, so good, and so smooth. The world is her oyster. To be able to be here on her first WrestleMania, to be a contributing factor for her walking out of WrestleMania, Lyra Two Belts. (Transcription: Fightful)
Lynch confirms that she is back full time and says she is so proud of Valkyria and was willing to help her in a heartbeat in responding to a question by Alistair McGeorge of Metro.
Its WrestleMania, isnt it? Lyra needed a partner. Bayley, unfortunately got taken out, we all saw that. There wasnt much time to prepare, but if [Lyra] is going to call and ask for something, Im so proud of her, of course Ill be there, in a heartbeat. I was already here, watching my husband [Seth Rollins] main event in a hell of a match. Im so proud of all my people. Lyra, my husband.
