Liv Morgan and Raquel Rodriguez are the new WWE Womens Tag Team Champions, now four-time champions. They had their WrestleMania rematch on the Raw after Mania against Becky Lynch and Lyra Valkyria. Lynch returned at WrestleMania on Sunday after a nearly year-long absence. She took the place of Bayley in the match, who was taken out backstage the night before. Now, only 24 hours later and Lynch and Valkyria have lost the tag team titles.
In the final moments of the match, Morgan hit ObLIVIon on the WWE Womens Intercontinental Champion to get the pin and the victory for her and Rodriguez.
After the match, Valkyria was still on the mat and seemingly remorseful to Lynch. Lynch at first showed empathy, but she then turned and attacked her now former protege. Mentor no more, Lynch continued the attack on Valkyria, giving her multiple ManHandle Slams.
Although they did not interfere in the match or post-match attack, NXTs Gigi Dolin and Tatum Paxley were in the crowd. They will now be facing Morgan & Rodriguez on NXT this Tuesday. Dolin & Paxley won a number one contenders match at Stand & Deliver on Saturday to earn a championship opportunity. They defeated Meta-Four, Fatal Influence, and Roxanne Perez & Cora Jade.
