Jade Cargill was supposed to go face-to-face with Nia Jax at WrestleMania 41but that match never made it past internal talks.
Sources from Fightful revealed that Jade Cargill vs. Nia Jax was a match discussed internally, and it was even circulated among key WWE officials. The plan reached a strong enough point that it made its way onto the whiteboard featured in WWEs Unreal series trailers.
But the match hit a roadblock when Jade suffered an injury. That pause gave WWE time to pivot, and they made the call to go with Naomi instead. Meanwhile, other names were already locked in for championship plans. By December, Charlotte Flair vs. Tiffany Stratton had been set in motioneven though Charlotte hadnt yet returned from injury.
WWE considered several different matchups involving Charlotte, including a possible tag with Becky Lynch against IYO SKY and Asuka. According to the report, this match was never pitched to talent directly, though Becky was approached for a different idea entirely.
With Jade back on the roster and healthy, it remains to be seen whether a showdown with Nia Jax might still happen.
