The April 22 episode of NXT went down at the Fontainebleau Las Vegas in Las Vegas, Nevada. There were a lot of things worth tuning in to see, and that included the WWE Womens Tag Team Titles.
Liv Morgan and Raquel Rodriguez won the WWE Womens Tag Team Titles back on the April 21 episode of WWE RAW. This was a big surprise, as Becky Lynch turned on Lyra Valkyria right afterward.
Tutum Paxley and Gigi Dolin won a #1 contender match at NXT Stand & Deliver, and they faced the champions during the opening match of tonights NXT.
The Womens Champions proved why they are top main roster talent, as they maintained control in the early goings of the match.
Tatum Paxley flipped to the outside where the champs took a bump at ringside as they cut to commercial break. This match continued as Raquel Rodriguez had control in the ring once again, just before she tagged out to Liv Morgan, who continued to wear down Tatum Paxley.
This match continued, and there was a close call for the champs, but they were able to get out of it and continue. Finally, Morgan was able to nail the Oblivion on and win the match to retain the titles.
