Orlando is putting serious money on the table to bring WWE and UFC back to town in a massive wayincluding a pitch to host WrestleMania 2031.
According to Sports Business Journal, the Orange County Commission just approved $29.46 million in tourist development tax sports incentive funds to support five major event bids. The biggest slice? $18 million for the Greater Orlando Sports Commission to draw four future events from the WWE and UFC including WrestleMania in 2031.
Thats rightOrlandos not just trying to bring back the biggest wrestling weekend of the year, theyre gunning for a full-on takeover. WrestleMania 2031 would be held at Camping World Stadium across two nights in April, with the Kia Center hosting Raw, SmackDown, and other events during WrestleMania Week.
Theyre not stopping there. The citys also eyeing:
- Survivor Series or Saturday Nights Main Event in late 2026
- A UFC pay-per-view in August or September 2027
- Royal Rumble in February 2028 at Camping World Stadium
Jason Siegel, President & CEO of the Greater Orlando Sports Commission, said the proposed deal may include about 10 to 12 shows at both the Kia Center and Camping World Stadium, and confirmed that WWE is in conversation with roughly two dozen other cities on various events.
On top of that, another $11 million is being allocated to Florida Citrus Sports to turn Camping World Stadium into a temporary home for the Jacksonville Jaguars in 2027.
Orlando previously hosted WrestleMania XXIV and WrestleMania 33both at Camping World Stadiumand now theyre looking to run it back bigger than ever.
