The April 23 episode of AEW Dynamite was quite a show as Tony Khans company continued. The UNO Lakefront Arena in New Orleans, LA was full of AEW fans, and you never know what might happen.
During the show this week, the Womens Owen Hart Foundation Tournament continued with a semifinal match. Kris Statlander took on Jamie Hayter to see who would continue.
This match closed out AEW Dynamite in New Orleans. This match received a big fight feel as the crowd was pumped to see it go down. Naturally, both competitors wanted to make sure their message was sent, and they advanced in the tournament.
The winner of this match would go into the finals of the 2025 Owen Hart Foundation Tournament. They battled through a commercial break, and there were plenty of near falls as well. The finals of the tournament will down at Double or Nothing.
In the end, Jamie Hayter won the match. Now she will go on to face Mercedes Mone at the next pay-per-view.
The 2025 Womens Owen Hart Foundation Tournament also progressed through several major events in April. At AEW Dynasty on April 6, Jamie Hayter defeated Billie Starkz in a quarterfinal match. Kris Statlander advanced by defeating Thunder Rosa on the April 9 episode of Dynamite. Then, Mercedes Mone picked up a win over Julia Hart in the tournament.
