Hello everyone, welcome to the honor club! Last night, the ROH Womens World Television Champion, Red Velvet, returned to the ring to face local talent Ashley Vox in a proving ground match.
The rules are simple. If Ashley wins or lasts longer than ten minutes, she will get a future title match.
Vox was already in the ring when the TV champion made her way to the ring. The newlywed was happy as ever and ready to prove herself against the champion. Could she get a future title match as a wedding gift?
Both were about to shake hands until Velvet decided not to, twice, moving her hand before Vox was able to shake it. Right after locking hands in their third effort, Velvet hit a clothesline and started the match.
Velvet took control throughout the match; the challenger was able to make a small comeback, hitting a diving missile dropkick, and after a running knee and a headbutt, she hooked Red with her fishhook, only to be knocked out by the champion moments later.
Post-match, La Catalina appeared to confront Red Velvet; both exchanged some words before Velvet left the stage.
We also had a video vignette confirming three new participants for the ROH Womens Pure Championship tournament: Leila Grey, Taya Valkyrie, and the Virtuosa Deonna Purrazzo. The matches are yet to be announced.
