The Rock might have started something biggerand a single NJPW tweet just poured more fuel on the fire.

On April 27, NJPWGlobal promoted their Wrestling Dontaku event with a strange message: Wrestling Dontaku is coming up NXT WEEKEND! DAY TWO May 4! #STARDOM will be in force with a match in Fukuoka! LIVE in English on @njpwworld!

The wording immediately jumped out. Instead of next weekend, they wrote NXT weekendand fans didnt waste a second pointing it out. Replies flooded in with comments like, The most unfortunate of typos lol, and NXT you say, while others joked, The double-take I had when I read this. A few simply posted the now-infamous photo of The Rock wearing a New Japan Pro-Wrestling shirt earlier this month.

The Rocks NJPW shirt already had fans talking after he casually dropped it in an Instagram video, playing with a Rubiks Cube and captioning it, Slightly intellectually intimidated, but keeping faith alive. No context. No explanation.

Now, after WrestleMania 41 is in the books, the timing feels a lot harder to ignore. WWEs relationship with international promotions has been a growing topic behind the scenes, and The Rocks new position as a major power player inside TKO only adds more layers to the conversation.

Whether NJPWs post was a simple mistake or something more, fans are treating it like a breadcrumband the timing couldnt be more suspicious.

Do you think NJPW's "NXT Weekend" tweet was just bad spelling, or could WWE and New Japan have something cooking? Please share your thoughts and feedback in the comment section below.
