JJ Redick and LeBron James have spoken out about some controversial calls in the Lakers Game 4 116-113 loss to the Timberwolves.

With ten seconds left to play, Anthony Edwards had a turnover and the ball went out of bounds. However the Wolves challenged and the call was overturned to a foul on LeBron James for the contact he made with Ant.

But James didnt think the call should have been reviewed and ended with that result.

Happens all the time, James told the media. Hand is part of the ball thats what they say and I feel like the hand was part of that ball. I was able to get his hand on top of the ball, the ball stripped and out on him, so. Seen that play over and over before.

Then following this, the Lakers were trailing 114113, Luka Doncic ran the ball up the court, but seemed to be tripped by Jaden McDaniels.

The refs didnt see it that way though and the Lakers were forced to use a time out as Luka called one on the ground.

Doncic could have had free throws to take the lead, but them was forced to inbound the ball following the timeout.

Redick wasnt too happy about it.

To start with, Luka got tripped, Redick said. That was a blatant trip. He doesnt just fall on his own. We rewatched it, he gets tripped. So we should have been at the free throw line. Its not an excuse for why we lost, but he got fouled. We had a chance to go up.

Luka told the media, I think I got tripped for sure.

Redick made a bold decision by playing the same lineup for the ENTIRE second half of Sundays loss which marked the first time in the play-by-play era that five players played an entire half for any team in a playoff game.

But he didnt regret it.

Not on that one, Redick responded when asked if he was second-guessing his choice. Once youve kind of made that decision, and they all are in, you just gotta trust them.
