One of STARDOMs biggest stars just dropped a bombshell Mayu Iwatani is leaving the promotion shes called home for over a decade.
At a press conference on April 28, Iwatani officially announced that she has wrestled her final match for STARDOM. Speaking to reporters, she said, Im going to run away from home, and added that she hopes fans will continue to support her wherever she goes next.
Iwatanis decision comes just one day after losing the IWGP Womens Championship to Syuri at All-Star Grand Queendom 2025 on April 27. The loss marked the end of her latest chapter in a career filled with historic achievements.
Since joining STARDOM at its launch in January 2011, Iwatani built an incredible legacy. Shes a former two-time World Of Stardom Champion, five-time Artist Of Stardom Champion, two-time Wonder Of Stardom Champion, as well as a former Goddesses Of Stardom and High Speed Champion.
Known as one of the true cornerstones of STARDOM, Iwatanis exit leaves a massive gap in the promotion and fans everywhere are now wondering what her next move will be.
