The end of the Meiko Satomura era has taken place as The Final Boss has competed in her very last match on Tuesday. Satomura has had a 30 year career.

The final match took place at the Sendai Girls promotion, a place where Satomura was their inaugural champion. Her retirment match witnessed her teaming with Manami against Aja Kong & Chihiro Hashimoto. Satomura picked up the victory, pinning Kong in a near 23 minute bout. Post match, Kong asked for five more minutes to team with the retiring legend, and an impromptu final match occurred with Satomura teaming with Kong to face Senka Akatsuki, Takumi Iroha, Mika Iwata, Chihiro Hashimoto, and YUNA. That match ended in the five minute time limit draw.

Satomura was presented with gifts and flowers as red ribbons showered her one last time. Video messages from many talents graced the event in saying farewell to the legend. Asuka, Kairi Sane, IYO SKY, Hiroshi Tanahashi, Shinsuke Nakamura, Devil Masami, Bull Nakano, Akira Hokuto, Lioness Asuka, and Chigusa Nagayoare the names of those that sent messages.

As of today, I will no longer be a pro wrestler, but I would like to dream more and more with all of you. I think that it is not actually my juniors who will lead Sendai Girls from now on, but myself who needs to work harder, so from tomorrow I will be Satomura again, dedicating my life to pro wrestling, so please continue to support me. Thank you all so much for your support over the past 30 years! Meiko Satomura

The only reason Ive survived this long is because of you, Meiko Satomurathis is all your fault! Youve kept Aja Kong alive! Dont ever forget that. Even if Ive become some kind of monster or rampaging beast, its because I met you, Meiko Satomura! Even though youre just a junior! No matter what I did, you never broke. No matter how hard I tried to destroy you, you never shattered. The harder I came at you, the harder you came back. In these 39 years, there were people like that peers, seniors but I never imagined a junior would push me this far. Thats because it was you, Meiko Satomura. And for that alone I sincerely thank you. Aja Kong
