Nikki Bella is throwing it out into the universeshe wants a Total Divas comeback, and shes got a plan.
While speaking with Naomi on The Nikki & Brie Show, Nikki opened up about the possibility of reviving the popular WWE reality series that first premiered in July 2013.
Total Divas launched with The Bella Twins, Cameron, Naomi, JoJo, and Natalya. Over nine seasons, the cast changed multiple times, but Nikki, Brie, Natalya, and Naomi remained at the core of the show. Paige joined in season three and became a mainstay until the end of season nine. Nia Jax came on board during season six.
The show aired its final episode in December 2019. Despite decent ratings, the plug was pulled due to a combination of declining viewership in the later seasons and WWE shifting its focus to other reality ventures like Miz & Mrs. and the Bella Twins own spinoff, Total Bellas. There was also internal talk that the show no longer aligned with WWEs evolving image of its womens division, which was being pushed more toward athleticism than drama.
Still, Nikki believes theres unfinished business and untapped potential in bringing the gang back togetherwith a fresh twist.
So much has happened, she emphasized, and its hard to argue. From real-life breakups and retirements to returns and reinventions, these women still have stories worth telling.
Total Divas may have left the screen, but it clearly hasnt left the minds of fansor the stars who made it what it was.
