Adam Copeland is already thinking about the final bell.

The former World Champion gave fans an honest look at his future during a recent appearance on First Up with Korolnek & Colaiacovo, revealing that his time in the ring is winding down. While Copeland hasnt been seen on AEW television since getting jumped by FTR at AEW Dynasty, hes been keeping busyrecently spotted at Toronto Maple Leafs games and now making headlines with his latest comments.

Not much longer, Copeland said when asked how much more he plans to wrestle. The schedule is far better than what it used to be. If you asked me to try and pull off over 200 days a year that I pulled before, there is absolutely no way because the recovery takes too long now.

He didnt sugarcoat the toll wrestling takes on him these days. Ill have a match and itll take me a good week to finally start walking normal, he admitted. Ive realized now, Im 51 years old, I figure I have until maybe 53, the end of this contract, and then its probably time to call it a day and get out while I can still limp away [laughs]. Lick my wounds and do a whole lot of yoga after.

Copeland turns 53 in October 2026, which lines up with the end of his current AEW deal. As of now, theres no word on when hell be back on AEW programming following the beatdown at Dynasty.

Adam Copelands pro wrestling legacy spans over three decades. Best known for his iconic run as Edge in WWE, he racked up 11 world championships, unforgettable ladder matches, and tag team dominance alongside Christian. He was inducted into the WWE Hall of Fame in 2012, made a shocking return in 2020 after a near-decade-long retirement, and later jumped to AEW in 2023. Before his WWE fame, Copeland wrestled on the Canadian indie scene and made brief appearances in promotions like WCW during the late 90s. His ability to adapt, evolve, and deliver on the mic and in the ring has cemented his place as one of the all-time greats.

Copeland may be slowing down, but hes doing it on his own terms. With just a couple more years left on the clock, the Rated-R Superstar isnt chasing anythinghes just making sure he walks away while he still can. Whether he goes out in AEW or somewhere else, you can bet hell make it count.
