Roman Reigns isnt walking through that curtain at Backlashat least, not this time.

The former Undisputed WWE Universal Champion has been off WWE television since the chaotic Raw after WrestleMania 41, and while fans continue speculating about his return, his current status has quietly come into focus. Reigns is not expected to be at the Backlash Premium Live Event on May 10 in St. Louis, Missouri.

Right now, the plan is for Roman Reigns to return in early June. Theres a chance he could be back in time for Money in the Bank on June 7, but nothing is set in stone. As of now, fans shouldnt expect to see him at Backlash, and his official return date is still fluid.

Reigns was last seen at WrestleMania 41, where he competed in a brutal triple threat match against CM Punk and Seth Rollins. That bout ended in shock when Paul Heyman turned on both Punk and Reigns, costing them the match and helping Rollins leave with the win.

Things escalated further on the April 21 episode of Raw when Bron Breakker aligned with Paul Heyman and helped dismantle both Reigns and Punk in a post-match assault. Since then, Reigns has been off the radar entirely.

With Backlash headlined by John Cena vs. Randy Orton for the Undisputed WWE Championship, the absence of Roman Reigns is already being felt. But once he returnslikely in early Junethings could change in a big way.

Do you think WWE is saving Roman Reigns for something bigger this summer? When do you want to see him back? Drop your thoughts in the comments below!
